A New Perspective on Fire Safety
Involvement in the fire protection industry for more than 5 years has brought the realisation that everyone is vulnerable to fire hazards. That’s why Col Considine, the Principal of Specialised Plumbing Installation, has designed a fire suppression system for residential homes.
Considine’s innovative fire suppression system is comprised of internal and external sprinklers. Internal sprinklers are placed inside the home in line with Australian Standards 2118 Parts 4 and 5. These sprinklers are activated by smoke and heat.
External sprinklers (bushfire protection system) can be manually or remotely activated via a phone application. They can also be automatically activated when high ambient air temperature is present.
These sprinklers have been used in different rural settings such as stables, machinery sheds and feed storage sheds. The system provides internal fire protection and external protection against bushfire ember attacks.
